Welcome to my wonderful home of knitting delights.

I have knitted for over 50 years, making stuff for family and friends. After winning prizes and a trophy at a Village Fete, it seemed to be time to offer my knitting services out to the wider world – and maybe make a little money too!

If you are looking for that special hand made gift, just pop me a message using the Contact Me Form and I will provide a quote to make it for you. I can help you with decisions about patterns, yarns, colours and sizes. We all come in different shapes, so if you want an arm longer one side, not a problem. I love a challenge and am happy to have a go at making most things – just ask. I aim to reply to all enquiries within 24 hours.

When a pattern is first designed it needs to be checked out to make sure it all works, across all of the sizes, and often with yarns not specified in the pattern.

Tech Editors ‘proof-read’ patterns and check things like abbreviations, needle sizes, instructions etc., and that the maths of the pattern work; e.g. that the neck openings are symmetrical; you don’t run out of stitches after X decreases etc. Ideally this is done before Test Knitting.

Test Knitters are a group of people who knit the item for the pattern designer before the pattern is published. The designer will request Test Knitters for all the sizes to check their instructions work and that the final measurements all work. Included in the Gallery are some of the items that I have Test Knitted for new Designers.
